In her spare time, she makes films, including the award-winning feature-length Beep: A Documentary History of Game Sound, which she wrote, directed and edited. She is also an active entrepreneur and has developed and published music software for games. Prior to her research career, Collins worked as a web developer and helped to build Canada’s first online health clinic. She is currently studying music and machine learning and working on a book about the history of artificial intelligence.
